Good Morning everyone and Happy New Year

Not much news here for this first day of the New year 2022.

I hope everyone stayed safe last night it's 70 degrees here this morning  calling for Rain.

Was cloudy all day yesterday  but the rain didn't come .

I will be taking Garner home tomorrow .

Yesterday my morning was spent  washing her hair and cutting it .

We had breakfast for dinner  yesterday  and today I will cook the regular  New Year  meal for us.

They say what you do on New Year's Day you will be doing all year.

So I guess I will be cooking all year but that's normal .I need to vaccum but that can wait

for another day.

Wishing everyone a lovely day

Hello to all that follows

Hugs Liz

Good morning and Happy New Year.

May this be a very good year for you.

Muggy here this morning.

Spicy Pork and Pineapple Stir Fry for lunch.

No back-eyed peas and such.

Nothing much going on here, so I

will stop trying to come up with something to say.

Until next time.

Good Morning, Everyone! HAPPY NEW YEAR! I got a phone call from The Fisherman’s Wharf yesterday, and it was the Manager, and not just the shift manager. He was apologizing all over the place. He is wanting to make this right, no matter what he has to do for it. He even offered us to come in, fix us two more dinners, and even put us up in his private party rooms. I listened to him, and he said he was going to put the $25 back onto my credit card, and also take the $25 that was there for my birthday, and still wanted to give me the two free dinners. I explained that we don’t get in there that often, since Rob is disabled, and one of the reasons that I picked up the dinners, and just parked beside their place, right along the wharf. He also told me that the bartender was counselled real well on the difference between the club card, and a gift card. It’s written right on them, and never had a problem before, so not sure why we did this time. I had gone onto their website for corporate, so he is probably getting a bad review from the chain itself. I sure got a rise out of him, and I was cool, calm and collected when I spoke. Rob was sleeping, so didn’t want to wake him.

I ran to Walgreens yesterday, and picked up Rob’s refills that they had. I then when on to the grocery store, and HEB didn’t have much of a selection of cereals. I can’t believe how much they were sold out. Seems everyone partied so much over Christmas, and now they are filling everyone with cereal. Strange. It was certain brands that were sold out, and mainly things like Special K.

I got up this morning, and tried giving Rob his insulin shot, and was having trouble getting the insulin into his skin. For some reason that plunger didn’t want to move. I finally gave up, and threw it away, and loaded another. He just looked at me and said, “Welcome to 2022!” I felt so bad, and couldn’t even push it any further out, once it wasn’t in his gut. Grrrrrrrrrrrrr We both had a chuckle over his welcome comment. Poor guy!

SpottedWolf...I always loved the General TSO chicken, but can’t eat the fried rice, unless I make it and leave the egg out of it. Yes, super muggy here. I see you are on a stir fry type kick now, and sounds yummy. LOL on no black eyed peas. Not sure what we are going to have, and need to get something thawed.

Liz...We had lots of fireworks and possibly gun shots as well, but we were safe and sound in the house. So, one more trip into Memphis, and I know you are going to be done with all of that. I bet Garner feels better, now that you have cut and washed her hair. I know I do once I cut mine, and yes, always need a shower afterward. I get hair everywhere. On Facebook it says that the Irish Proverb is to open the doors to let the old year out, and the new one in. But many had it that they also needed to make sure to open windows and garage doors to make sure that the old one leave. lol Rob agreed!!!

Time to scoot!!!

My daughter, son-in-law and grandson came by and the first thing my grandson said was, Mommy has a very small baby in her tummy!

Such great news to start the new year with.

I'm so happy for them!

I'm wishing you all a Happy & Healthy 2022!

Good morning everyone.

Happy New Year to you all.

Let's hope 2022 is better than the last 2 years.

The kids came yesterday and we went to the bank to sign Lani onto my bank account. now that is done I can quit worrying. I want to make it as easy on them both should something happen to me. She won't have to run to Mission all the time to pay my bills or get money out for Alex's care. also, should I end up in a home it will be covered. They have been through so much with their dad, they never fail to get him what he needs. We ordered some fidget stuff for him to keep himself busy. He had a bad night again the night before and grabbed a nurse and screamed to be let out. The kids had to gather up their stuff and run out to see him as they are locking down the place today. He sure won't be happy about that. I can't believe he has gotten this bad. I did get to talk to him and wish him a Happy New Year. He was in a jovial mood and that was nice. We got one fidget ball already and they gave it to him yesterday. The rest will or should be coming this week. also, some P.J's so he will change his clothes. I miss him, the old him not the new him.

SW, I love your pictures once again. ty for sharing them with us.

Elly, I am so happy for you. Congratulations on your grandbaby. I bet you are over the moon.

you take care and enjoy the New Year.

Liz, you are busy once again. seems you always are. I bet you will enjoy your new furniture when it comes. I know I am enjoying my writing desk. I have everything where I want it now...so nice.

Well, I am off...gonna go relax in my chair. Please take good care of yourselves and have a Happy New Year.

hugs to all.

xxxx

Wine?  maybe later.

It's nice today.

We have had a lot of rain during this Christmas season.

Much needed.  I do so love the rain.

Our dinner tonight will be steak and baked potato.

Some kind of veggie.

We got some Omaha steaks from my niece and nephew.

They came yesterday.  we were surprised.

But got no hello how are you messages of any sort.

It feels funny to receive gift in this manner.

I will call later.

SW, love the pictures, I still have to dig around in

the old pictures and hope to share some also soon.

Ok, bye for now, I am late getting the Gift Boxes

in order, so will be working on them today.

My mojo is kinda slow these days and hope to

get popping soon.  LOL

Good Morning everyone  The temp dropped  threw the night and I slept in.

I feel good when I get to sleep more and rest.

I will be taking Garner home today.

She is ready to go .

Yesterday was warm and very humid and then late afternoon we got rain thunder lightening  and a lot of rain.

The wind and clouds were really moving so I'm sure north of me really got a lot.

It will probably rain more today too

Temp is 39 this morning after all the warm temps this feels very cold .

Beth glad you got that taken care of at the bank .

I have my daughter's name on my account with mine also it's better than letting them take it.

I have both their names on my property with mine  also.

When Angie comes back we will go to the attorney and I will sign all the papers for taking care of Garner in case something happens to me before Garner. WE never know what will happen to anyone .

Candy hope everything is a bit better for you and Rob right now.

Spotted Wolf love the pictures  thank you for sharing them with us .

Norma I know you don't get rain often and it does make everything smell better.

I'm glad you got gifts from family but they should have sent a card .

Elly that is great the kids got to come by and you will be getting another grand child this year.

Garner just got up so I better get up and get her breakfast .

Wishing everyone a great day

Hugs Liz

Good Morning, Everyone! We have had gale warnings here lately, and seems like it has been 3 or 4 days in a row so far. It got real bad last night, and now the temps have dropped drastically. The temp is 39 here as well. it’s pretty overcast, but don’t think we got the rain, and just the cold. No wonder I woke with cold feet. The fan was on low, and felt like I needed a second fan on, when I went to bed. Glad that I hadn’t put the tower fan on, or we would have frozen to death in there. I guess I will be putting the heater back on again.  The weather shows temps for the next week being up and down like a toilet seat.

I fixed Rob a sirloin steak, and baked tater for dinner last night. He was super happy with it, and it was yummy. I cooked it a tad longer that he normally likes it, but it was super tender and flavorful. He sure was a happy camper. I enjoyed it as well. Since it was grass fed, I could eat it.

ElyBl...Congratulations on the new Grandchild on it’s way. Yes, it’s so hard for the young ones to keep a secret. It’s always amazing to hear the way they term things.

Norma...Yes, normally California doesn’t get a lot of rain, but once they do, the mud slides go ballistic. Have been there during those times, and it’s not fun. How lovely to be given streaks as a gift. I bet you enjoy them. Rob says hello back to you and Leo. Yes, I imagine that you will be knitting away before too long.

Liz...Yes, we have the same temps as you do, but didn’t seem to get the storms with it so far. The wind has been really bad. Yes, it won’t be long in here, and I will be back into warmups. Thank you, and things are going better for Rob and myself right now. I am careful what I am giving him to eat right now, but not real careful. Just anything that may do great irritation to the gut, so that we don’t have any more leakage, before this procedure. I don’t want them having to give him any more blood. Yes, I know that you have been trying to put all of your ducks in a row, with your girls. You do have to make arrangements for Garner as well. We aren’t getting any younger, so have to plan what is best for everyone involved.

Time to scoot!!!

Good morning everyone.

So far we have missed the predicted rain and bad weather.

Was nice enough this morning to sit out with the coffee.

I hope all of you have a wonderful day.

Chicken and veggies in the air fryer for lunch.

Nothing much going on today.

Until next time.
