Good Morning everyone

The sun is coming up but cold  it's 34 degrees.

The phone company was out here all day yesterday working on these lines and my internet has not stopped one time so far but I'm still getting credit  for a month of hassels  They had all kind of excuses but I didn't accept them.

The guy with the big truck said he fixed several places in the line so hopefully it will stay fixed for a while.

That was my day yesterday .

Candy today is the day for Rob's procedure be sure and let me hear  from you .

More nice pictures Spotted Wolf have you ever visited the caverns in New Mexico.

There isn't much news here as I spent the day waiting yesterday didn't get out and it was a sunny day.

Today is starting with the sun shining and I did sleep in this morning .

I better get posting so maybe I can get the mirrow  up in Garner's room

I still have a few things I want to get done so will try and get them done this week .If not it will get done when I get to it.

Wishing everyone a lovely day

Things are OK here.

Had fish and chips for lunch.  Love catfish.

That is all that is going on today.

Good Afternoon, Everyone! Rrb felt like crap all day yesterday, and we were afraid that they weren’t going to allow him to take his infusion. He got it, and then we were back home with it. He was so cold, and couldn’t seem to get warm. He turned the heater up in the car, and had a blanket over his legs, and I felt he was going to bake me out of the car. I had to drive, and glad we didn’t have to go too far, as warm as it was, but he was literally shaking from being so cold. he was complaining about his jaw aching, how cold he was, and just flat out didn’t feel good. OMG! If he got sick, they wouldn’t do the procedure. I got a Bactrim into him, and tucked him into bed. He got up warmer, and feeling a lot better. He had one scrambled egg for breakfast, and finally at 8 last night, he had twp more. He was getting ready to go to bed, and I remembered that he had 30 units of insulin, and if he woke this morning, too low, we would be in trouble. I gave him 3 shortbread cookies, and off to bed he went. I was another 2 hours getting there, with writing our directions, and also meds that he takes. Neither one of us slept well, but we never do. He was so grumpy before going to bed, and wanted to call the whole thing off. I told him to quit making me feel like I was sending him to the gallows. He apologized, and I assured him that I understood. He also got one more Bactrim before he went to sleep. he did get up feeling better, and I was thankful for that. He has a quick sponge bath, and I got dressed, got him dressed and off we went. We found the hospital a lot easier this time, even thought the last time we were there, was in April. They wanted us there at 7, and we got there at 6:30. We still had to wait till almost 8, to get him into a room for prep. Everyone was so great this time, and the one Doctor even came down to speak to me afterward. Then they had one of the nurses come after me, since I had his clothes, chair and oxygen machine with me. LOL No escaping early for him. He was ready to go, and finally the nurse left the area, to work on a computer behind me, in another curtains cubical, and I got him dressed. Once he was up, had no pain, and felt OK, she took out his IV, and he was getting into his chair. Hey silly, we still have paperwork to fill out. LOL She said that she enjoyed the two of us, and I was happy for that. She was real sweet.

Once I got him into the car, he got his protein drink, then got his pills he couldn’t take before the procedure. He is now sound asleep in bed, getting his nap. I am so thankful that he made it through another one, and I think he was a lot worried. But then, over the last two years, he has had a lot of procedures. He is a fighter, and that is a man that is sick and tired, of being sick and tired.

Not sure what is going on here, but had the TV going wonky, so shut it off. The power then blipped on and off twice, so not sure what is going on here. Now my printer is going ballistic, so shut it down. Had to reconnect to my WiFi. Something is up, but at east I didn’t have to wake rob to put him on a tank. His machine was only off foe a few seconds screaming at me. Sheesh!!!

Just a little bit ago, I got into my Landry’s account, and the credit for points on the account isn’t in there. They didn’t take off the 25 for my birthday, or credit my Discover card back for my meal either. I called the Wharf, to speak to the General Manager, and he won’t be back till Friday. When I told the person what happened, she informed me that he had been out sick. I then told her that he was supposed to do something for me, and she said he had been out sick. I then told her that I would take care of the problem another way. I called corporate, and spoke to a gentleman there, and he said that he could extend my card to the 21st, so that it doesn’t expire on the 15th. That will give me a few extra days. He said that they had put a credit through for the 2 meals to be added to my card total. See, once I spend 250 in a years time, I earn $25 rewards, to be used. So that is all he did, and did not use my $25 credit I already had expiring, and did not put the credit back onto my Discover card, from paying for my full meal. The fella helping me then gave me a number to call, to file a complaint. They are busy, so I left a message for someone to call me back. He has me mixed up with someone that isn’t going to let this drop, and not be swept under the carpet. Maybe on Tuesday, when Rob has another infusion in the afternoon, we may stop in Kemah, and get fish and chips there. I am running out of time to use it up. Since we had to pay full price, and then got rubber french fries to boot, I am not letting it go. I paid good money for a hot meal, and we weren't even 20 minutes getting in there to pick it up. I felt like it was a meal ordered that no one else picked up, and we got, and fries don't go that bad that quick.

SpottedWolf...I am glad that you didn’t have to cook for a change, and I sure hope that your back gets better real soon. No fun being down with a bad back. Yes, I too hate washing dishes, but I prefer to do that, than have a dishwasher. Fish and chips sound so yummy right now. rob could eat that tons more than he does now.

Norma...Yes, most of us are having internet and TV problems. Rob deals with my older computer, since his went on the fritz, and doesn’t complain most of the time, but refuses to have me get him a new one. One of these days, we may work on that.

EllyBl...Yes, it was real cold here again last night, and once into the hospital this morning, he couldn’t get warm. They put one of those foil blankets on him, and blew in warm air, and he finally got good and warm.

Liz...I called you from the hospital and left you a message. I figure that you were busy, so figured I would call you back later. I did get hold of you, and you have helped us so much through all of this. We both love and appreciate you more than you would ever know!!! I sure hope that things start looking up for him now. God puts Angels on this earth, and you are sure one of them. We have been to Carlsbad Caverns in New Mexico, and it was amazing to go into. We have been to quite a few different ones here in the US.

Time to scoot!

Good Morning everyone

Not quiet as cold this morning as it has been the past few morning  but still cold.

Candy I'm so glad we got to talk yesterday and Rob did good .

They do keep those rooms very cold  .His blood is thin and that makes him get really cold in the cold. Thats to keep down as much bleeding as possible. We are having more yoyo weather up here I'm ready for Spring too.

I didn't do a lot yesterday as I should have  but I don't have a time limit for anything.

The  Carlsbad Caverns are something to see if you visit New Mexico.

I liked living in Albuquerque also the old town there has a lot of interesting things and places to see

Lot of great places in every state to visit some more than others.

Spotted Wolf I love the pictures .

Not much news here  this morning  I need to get started on  the First of Feb, stuff for this group.

Norma glad all is well out your way.

Elly good to see Sharon is back .

Hope all is well with you too.

Beth I didn't see you in here yesterday I saw you were in the challenges.

Wishing everyone a great day

Hugs Liz

Good Morning, Everyone! I was so exhausted yesterday, and didn’t get much of anything done. Rob got a good nap, and was still pretty groggy when he got up. He had his protein drink before he took his prednisone, once we got him to the car, after the procedure. He didn’t want anything to eat once we got him, and just went in to take a much needed nap. He did eat some chunky beef soup last night, which wasn’t totally what I was recommended, but that was what he wanted. No crackers, and the gravy on it was pretty thin. He did have 3 shortbread cookies a little after that. I only gave him about 6 units of Lantus. He was at a 99 when I checked his sugar, and I didn’t want him to get too low. The soup was 40 carbs, and the cookies are about 10 a piece, so I figured that 6 was about the amount to get him through the night. He hadn’t had any during the day, because he wasn’t eating. He went to bed last night, shortly after 9, and I held out till 11. I was taking care of a few things here, and had to finally give up the ghost.

Rob is still in bed, and I got up just after 7. He did wake, and I told him to sleep in a bit, so he is. He will ring me when he is ready to come out, unless he decides to use the walker today. Not sure how stable he will be on his feet, since he hasn’t had much food the last couple of days.

Liz...Yes, very cold here again this morning. We have been having a lot more colder days recently. Not near as cold as some places, but then, not supposed to be as cold as some places. We do live in the South, and we are normally warmer here. Yes, I too am glad that we had a good talk yesterday. I figured that he would be colder with thinner blood, but his red blood levels being lower, will probably do that as well. They really didn’t want to give him any, and allow his body to do the work with the iron infusions as well. I am glad, because I really would prefer for him to make his own, instead of getting blood elsewhere. In a years time, he has had 3 units, and so far, he hasn’t had any reactions from it. Yes, they do keep the rooms cold, and I have always been told it’s to keep bacteria from growing. That does make sense. They do have ways of warming the patients, and I did keep my jacket on the whole time. I was pushing his transport chair with his cloths and oxygen machine on it. What surprised both of us was that one of the nurses had asked him what the machine was on the transport chair. She saw it, and asked Rob what it was. I can’t believe that she didn’t know what it was. Yes, we have been to 3 caverns in the San Antonio area, 1 closer to Austin, one in Virginia and 1 in Carlsbad. Two of them in the San Antonio area, we have been in a few times. There are different formations everywhere, and they are so amazing. I have been through Albuquerque once or twice, and it looked like an interesting area. Never spent any time there, it was just driving through the area.

Time to scoot!

Good Morning, Everyone! I now have all of Rob’s new apts. Listed on my phone, except for one in April. I need to get it later on today. I have to clean up a stack of papers, and it’s in there. I think I am going to take this smaller coffee table out, and put the bigger one back in here. This one is too narrow, and I think it’s a tad shorter as well. It was one that was higher, behind the sofa, and when we got new furniture, Rob cut it down to the same height as the main one. Helped having a handy man in the house.

It’s 3 degrees warmer today, but only 3. It’s still colder than I like, but actually warmed up to 70 during the day yesterday. I can’t believe how warm it is during the day, then dropping so low at night. This is just plain crazy.

SpottedWolf...Don’t tell Rob real loud what you are fixing for meals. He will be there in no time. Your meals always sound so yummy. Thank you for all of the wonderful pictures. I love the old pipe organ.

Liz...Yes, you get some “Me Time” with both of them still asleep in bed. I know that you love your quiet mornings. Thank you, and yes, I have even been letting him sleep a tad longer for his naps as well. His system is so down now. He did have a bit of a sore throat, and said he thinks that the boys were in a hurry, and got a little rough. I laughed and told him that they can’t get too rough, or they could cause him to bleed. He doesn’t normally feel it afterward, but he did this time. Yes, we both know how you feel, and sure appreciate your friendship and help. Yes, I am with you, feeling it’s flu, but they are still trying to scare everyone to death. I am keeping my fingers crossed that we are just about done with this mess now. We will know in a few days, if everything comes out the way they are predicting.

Time to scoot!

Good morning everyone.

Well, I got up several times during the night not being able to breathe and fluid in my lungs. It's been happening more lately, I am very light headed and I have shortness of breath. I am wondering if my heart is getting worse. I also have a lot of swelling in my hands, feet and stomach. I have to get to see a doctor but I can't go to the hospital because of Miss Molly. If worse comes to worst I will get Lani to take her for a few days and get this all sorted out, I did take a water pill this morning so we will see if it helps. I can't believe it, if it isn't one thing it's another.

I did a bit of housework yesterday but I think I will take it easy for a few days.

They have a big sale on at Amazon so I ordered a new set of sheets and bedspread..I love change and my bed is very important to me.

Not much else going on here today. They are going to be taking Alex out to the garden where he is soon, he will love that. it's a beautiful one with a pond and goldfish. He needs to get out and see something besides 4 walls. They ordered the hip protector so hope they get it soon before he breaks a hip.

Well, that's it for me today. Take care everyone and stay well.

hugs to all.
