Good Morning everyone .Its a nice cool morning here 61 degrees.

I wish the temps would stay down for a while so the ac don't run so much.

My phone woke me at 3 am I did go back to sleep but it took a while .It was Chris in Florida  sending me pictures of something about peacock channel on television.

I'm sure Angie was asleep and didn't even know he was up.

I didn't reply to him either. I just hope he isn't off his meds.

My house is almost done and it will be tomorrow the latest then My work starts .He has only had 1 helper this week don't know what happened to the boys  that was helping.

Bunny  taking you foot a long time to heal but I know it does .Be sure and keep it clean.

Candy I'm as tired as these workers every day and thats just watching them and staying out of the way.I

go to my bedroom at night to watch television That way Lughead doesn't bother me as much.

Last night he came and couldn't get in then called to see if I was in bed he wanted to borrow money and I said no to money and that i was watching tv in my bedroom .

He said ok and didn't call again.

I got up an hour later and came and looked out and he was gone.

Im sure glad he got that truck fixed and back so he can ride the roads or whatever he wants to do just leave me alone.

Elly try and take it easy  go slow at decorating your new place.

I'm going to put new drapes up in my living and dining room  but I will probably buy the fabric and make them myself .

Wishing everyone a very good day

Hello to all that follow

Hugs Liz

It is Thursday, October 7, and it's a cloudy 60F. Sure hope we'll see the sun soon!

Beth you know I love snuggle time. Hope you have loads of it too.

EllyBl it's a good day to just take it easy. I have only sheer curtains because I like to look out.

Liz I keep it covered and only air it out for a few minutes in the mornings.

It is Richie's 55th birthday and that just makes me feel old! Where has the time gone? I remember his 4th birthday in Woodstock outside on the neighbor's picnic table with his friends. I used to dress him in outfits with short pants and he looked so cute. Today I hope my podiatrist can do something about the pain in my foot. I awoke in the middle of the night to take another Advil and changed the bandages this morning. After my appointment I have groceries to pick up and then onward to KFC for my favorite coleslaw. I love being able to order groceries online and having them brought out to my car. It is so helpful for me. Have an incredible day.

Good Morning, Everyone! I can’t get anyone to fill the Pantoprazole for Rob. The Cardio would do one month only, the Rheumatologist says it’s too high of a dose for her, but she had her assistant call, so I guess I will call his GP, and see what dose he should be no now, and get him to order it. He has been taking 40 mgs twice a day, and now none. They said to go back to the Gastro that prescribed it. Well, that Dummy is the last one we fired, and she isn’t even at that practice now. grrrrrrrrrrr

We have Rob’s apt, with the insurance home health Nurse this morning. He isn’t looking forward to that, since they are insisting on us wearing a mask in our own home, while she is here. What a crock of crap!!! We will be running her off post haste, since it will do more harm than good, for Rob to be wearing the damned thing. This will be a short visit, so we can get her out of here, and get the damned things off again.

I ordered a transport chair for Rob last night, and it will be delivered between the 22nd and 5th of Nov. That is plain stupid, but what other choice do I have? I was trying to get one through the insurance, but the ones they deal with are so expensive, and they would insist on measurements and the whole bit. Rob isn’t that big of a man, so I got one where I wanted to get it. Again, I am paying for equipment, and the insurance is paying for nothing, because they make it so hard to get things. Had the hospital done their job, like they are paid to do, I wouldn’t be going through all of this.

I need to get a new vacuum as well. My beater head on my canister quit. I just remembered that I was also supposed to order bags, and a belt for the upright. Guess I will have to make another order today. grrrrrrrr If I can get the upright working, I could get rid of the canister one. The beater head seems to have a short in it. It keeps clicking off, so just have the brush head, and that doesn’t do as well.

EllyBl...I feel your pain on deliveries. We are having hassles as well. Now our post Office has raised prices once again, practically overnight, and now saying that deliveries of mail and packages will take twice as long to get to us. And they get away with all of that crap!!! I know you will be happy to get new curtains up. I have planned different things as well, and like Liz, sometimes it’s easier to make them myself. But then, not everyone sews, or has their own machine.

Liz...I don’t think I would care for my phone going off at 3 AM, over pictures that could wait till daytime. Yes, I bet Angie was fast asleep, and I bet you will let Angie know. lol Some people don’t use their heads. The nerve of Lughead to ask to borrow money, and good for you telling him no. He isn’t even smart enough to know when to quit asking. It’s awfully early in the month to be out of money. Yes, you can make your own drapes or curtains, and you can have a better selection of fabrics. I used to make curtains out of sheets, many years ago. I was always complimented on them, but don’t have too many of them left, after all these years. That was back in 1975 that I had made curtains. Then in 1979, I used colored burlap, when they have different colors. I made drapes, and they turned out amazing! That was when we were living in 29 Palms, California. I was always complimented on them. I had a huge picture window in the living room, and it faces down into the back yard, of the back of the homes on the street below.

Time to get moving!

I thought this was funny, hope you do too.

Well, yesterday was a fun one, my coffee pot came on time and TG..it's bigger and better.

The filters came separate and I waited till 8:30 pm then went down to the mailbox and there they sat..they said I signed for them but that is not my signature.

The doctor phone and forgot one of my prescriptions. so I had to call back today..they say they will call Rexall and call them in...we will see.

I also ordered a computer desk and now I found out I have to put it together..that ought to be fun as I can't get on my knees...I'm sitting at a table right now and its not working too well.

Today I will rest as yesterday was a bit of a hustle.

Bunny, I sure hope you can get that foot healed. is that the one that got scratched?

Liz, bet you are happy that the work is almost finished.

Elly, makes you wonder about people doesn't it.....lol.

Norma, good morning.

SW, same to you.

Well, off I go..see you all tomorrow.

Stay safe and smile.

Hugs to all.

xxx

Good Morning everyone

The ceilings are finished  and I'm so happy they look great . All clean and no nails or screws.

Almost got the living room back together yesterday late afternoon did get the kitchen all done.

I was so tired by 8 pm I was ready to go to bed.

Bunny that foot needs to be left open as much as possible so it will dry out to heal.

I have two sewing machines  but I haven't done a lot of sewing in a few years .I'm not hanging pictures and things back on walls yet until I go through and see what I actually want to keep.

I saw where the regular mail was going up I have a lot of the forever stamps and I don't do a lot of mailing.

I also use to make curtains out of sheets  and line them  so you could use either side  they would be one one on one side and different color on the other.

I think I have always done a lot of my on sewing and for the kids too .

Made quilts for the 4 grand children  but after that I haven't made any more quilts.

I have tried and done a lot of different things over the years and worked  too.

It's was cheaper to do it yourself for years now it's actually cheaper to buy ready made.

Elly be sure and check your mail .

Norma glad  everything is good out you way.

Beth take care  and take your time doing things

Wishing everyone a lovely day

Hugs Liz

It is Friday, October 8, and it's a cloudy 58F. C'mon out sun!

Beth it's the foot that had a blister and I peeled it. Not a good thing to do. I can't remember the last time I heard Rexall!

Norma it's so good to see you here. How's your weather?

Liz I know what you mean. I crocheted blankets for all the kids and haven't done it for years now. Somehow I lost interest.

I'm still getting tomatoes on my vines. Jack will be over tomorrow to get as many as he can! Doctor cut my nails yesterday and sent a script for 10 days of antibiotics. He wants me to call in 5 days and let him know how my foot is doing. It seems to be hurting a lot less since I started the pills. I have to mention that I don't use Facebook for anything except to play Pearl's Peril and June's Journey. I don't read anything there nor do I post anything. Do you think it's time to start posting things for Halloween? It's such a fun time of year. Anyhow today will be a very restful day. I think my anxiety gets the best of me when I'm out and about, so I might have to take a Xanax when I'm out. When it's hard to breathe the anxiety gets the best of me and I have trouble controlling it. So I guess a pill will be the answer. I hope you enjoy your day.

Good Morning, Everyone! I am glad that it’s a little cooler here now, but have a feeling it’s going to be a bit yet, before I can open doors and windows. We are still running the A/C full time.

We had Rob’s home health visit yesterday, and neither one us liked her. She was pushy, and very opiniated. She asked a couple of times if he had ever had cancer, so that seemed to stick in her mind. Then she kept on about the Diabetes. She said that I should be feeding him more protein and cheeses at night, and I told her that wasn’t going to help with his sugar levels and she agreed. WTH??? She went through his pills, and she didn’t’ like them either. She just had a major opinion on everything, and I let most of it go in one ear, and out the other. Rob got mad at her right from the start, and she asked if he wanted her to leave, or continue. She knows nothing about the patients at all, and so we have to rehash everything each and every year, when one of them comes here. She didn’t even take our temps until half way through her visit. Really? If it was that important, she should have done it right away. She also didn’t like that we didn’t get the jab, so asked several times if we had gotten COVID. Rob had to bite his tongue at that time. We were glad when she left, and he went in and got his nap.

Norma...Yes, but the Vacuum is pretty old, so like anything else, they don’t last forever. I do have another, and figured out why Will gave it back to me. I forgot to order the belt for it, so will have to put another order in today, to get belts and bags. They are both Sears, so will not have many choices in where I can get them now. Yes, I too hope that the new chair will be a lot better for Rob. It will sure be smaller, and he can sit down into it. He didn’t trust the rollator, so we got rid of it. He has his moments when he is feeling better. He still has moments when he likes to tease, no matter how bad he is feeling. Tell Leo hello from both of us please.

Liz...Rob and I both agree, that you went too hard at it, and glad that you are getting it back in shape again. Yes, I have two sewing machines, and a serger. I had a third sewing machine, but my Mother took it with her, when she moved back up North. Yes, the mail went up, and the flat rate shipping boxes all went up 75 cents each. That is a big hike. They also said that now mail will be taking twice as long to get where it has to be. That means any bills you get, will take longer to receive, and also checks sent, will take twice as long to get paid. Go figure!!! I do all of my banking online now, so that won’t matter for most of it. I always doubled the sheet, since they are thin to start with, but never did make them reversable. All fabric used to be a lot cheaper, and once everyone caught on to sewing, to make clothes cheaper, the price of fabric went through the roof. I have made a couple of small quilts, but nothing large.

Time to get moving!

It's getting closer! Today is Saturday, October 9, and it's 57F. Maybe we'll see the sun some time today.

Beth thanks so much. Yes it is taking a long time to heal but I have it covered always. Sending cuddles.

Guess it's too early for everyone.

My foot isn't bothering me as much anymore so I hope that means it's healing. Not much to tell about yesterday. Joan came to clean and I slept right through it! When I awoke she was already gone. Did anyone see the new show Ghosts Thursday night on CBS? I always enjoy a good comedy. Jack will come for his weekly visit today and we'll all be cuddling. It looks like another good day for it. How is your day going so far? Hope it's a nice one.
